A Kangra court sent Rakesh Kumar (28) and Sunil Kumar (26) — the two taxi drivers accused of abducting and raping a British teenager on Thursday
after she boarded their taxi in Palampur — to three-day police remand.
Kangra SP Atul Kumar Fulzele said the evidence collected from the body of the rape victim had been sent for forensic tests and the two accused had confessed to their crime.
The statements of Rakesh and Sunil were recorded in the district and sessions court, Kangra, on Saturday afternoon, after which they were remanded in police custody.
